About Fjords: Fjords is an arts and literary review for the 21st century reader edited by John Gosslee. The twice yearly magazine features new art and literature alongside translations and reviews. Fjords is the first journal to publish some of its authors in a strictly audio format.

John Gosslee founded Fjords Review in 2010. His first book 12: Sonnets for the Zodiac (Gival, 2011) was published in French, Spanish and English. He enjoys riding his motorcycle throughout the United States.

Alex R. Carpenter recently graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with his BA in English, emphasis in creative writing, and a minor in philosophy. Unpublished and generally hungry at night, Alex got his first taste of the literary scene as an undergraduate intern for The Missouri Review and, since then, has joined the family at Fjords. He can currently be found in Kansas City, reading, job-hunting (English degree) and working social media for Fjords and his own blog at http://www.sleepingoffcoffee.com/.

Roberta Hall is a graphic designer from North Carolina. She has received several local and national awards. She prides herself on the ability to design in a variety of styles across a range of media platforms. Her particular interests are photo manipulations, 3-D, typography, editorial design, advertisement, and photography, but she also enjoys corporate identity.

Zachary Leibman is the Copy Editor for Fjords Review. He has worked in a number of publishing houses throughout his career and currently holds positions at Running Press, as an Assistant Editor, and Coral Press: The Home of Musical Fiction, as an Associate Editor. His greatest dislikes are comma, splices, misused apostro'phes and forgotten serial commas.

Sean Stoops is an independent curator and new media artist based in Philadelphia. Stoops has an MFA in video art and curating from Transart Institute, Donau University- an international graduate program for new media art- in Austria (now Berlin, Germany and Brooklyn, NY). He earned his BFA in painting and drawing from Tyler School of Art and studied at Temple University Abroad in Rome, Italy. In 2005 Stoops organized INHABIT: an Apartment Installation, a site-specific group exhibition about post-modern domesticity, in his former West Philly apartment. Stoops has curated and exhibited at several galleries and art centers in Philadelphia including: Painted Bride Art Center, Asian Arts Initiative, Rebekah Templeton Contemporary Art, Crane Arts, and International House. In 2011 he was visiting curator of Bird Cages and the Gilded Boat at the ISE Cultural Foundation, in Manhattan, NYC.
Stoops organized and directed mural animated films: "Muralmorphosis" (2009) and "Cosmic Terrarium" (2010), in cooperation with the Mural Arts Program of Philadelphia. In spring 2012 Stoops was named as one of thirty-five art project award winners to receive grants from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of its Knight Arts Challenge, which funds innovative projects that engage and enrich Philadelphia's communities. For the project Stoops is curating, Animated Architecture: 3D Video Mapping Projections on Historic Philadelphia Sites, a festival of site-specific, outdoor/indoor video art events, usually held at night and screened at various Philadelphia buildings, scheduled to open in fall 2013. In addition to art, video, and film, Stoops enjoys bicycling, cooking, exploring cities, and hopes to visit Japan in the near future.

Ryan Jacques is a graphic designer from Richmond, Virginia. He has spent most of his life in the arts and music scene. His most recent work is the layout design for Kelli Allen's Otherwise Soft White Ash and Fjords Review Volume 1, Issue 4. When not designing he enjoys longboard skateboarding and playing guitar.

Kayti Doolittle graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and a minor in Creative Writing. She is the Art Reviewer for Fjords Review. Kayti recently published a piece Made in Thailand for the Green Hills Literary Lantern about the complexities and interpretations of sex and the sex industry. After a year in South Korea, Kayti is traveling throughout the United States writing about sex and art.

Christina Francine has published children's stories, articles and interviews. She has reviewed over 250 books in various genres for many publications. Myles Barker graduated from the University of Utah with an English BA. He is a fiction writer and theorist with publication in In Bantam and Fifty Shades of Pop Culture. He is a glutton for pop and literary culture from Edith Wharton to Mr. Spock. Myles currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Chelsea Kerwin graduated from George Washington University with a BA in English and Creative Writing. In her senior year she was awarded the A.E. Claeyssens Jr. Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets. She currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where she works in an art gallery and spends her free time writing poetry, reading novels, and chasing her husky around the park.

Mary "Casey" Martin was president for the Wisconsin Center for the Book and runs Home Brew Press. She is a columnist and writes features for Central Wisconsin HOOPLA. Aleksandra Marr is a web designer and programmer based in Chicago. She has a Masters Degree in Archeology with an Art Object Preservation specialization. She collects pieces of American Folk Art and speaks Polish, Italian, CSS, and English.
